Stepping Stones

The lessons, journeys, and chapters of our lives intertwine and overlap. Together, our individual experiences become stepping stones along the path through life.

When I first started considering publishing a book, I tried to figure out how to gather my thoughts in a way that would make sense to a reader.

After Reflections was put together and introduced to the world, I feared it wouldn’t make sense, no one would want to read it, and exposing my thoughts would fall short of what I hoped to accomplish.

That wasn’t the case. Yet even as I was still defining the goal, I was left with the feeling that I had stopped short of it.

That feeling led me to Shadows. Recognizing the impact that people and events have had on who I am led me to consider the responsibility I carry for the shadows I cast.

Once there, I started asking more questions about myself. Those questions became Journeys, although many of the answers are still being written.

Understanding the impact of my history helps me define and write the chapters that come next.

Like stepping stones along a path, each of these projects stand alone on their own. But like the lessons, journeys and chapters of life, they are intertwined in a direction I am still discovering.
